I am really hoping I can finish this in one more chapter ha ha.
Unlove Me-Part 19
She was running...she didn't even know where she was going...she just knew she had to get out...get away from him...him and her. It would be so much easier if he would just tell her that he didn't love her anymore... instead of forcing her to hold on when he wasn't doing a d@mn thing different. He wanted her to trust him...and yet he was always with her...the woman he betrayed her with...the woman she lost everything to...and all while he claimed she meant nothing to him...that was a lie...it had to be a lie...why else was she there?
She stopped running when she was far enough away from the world...where no one could see her cry...and then she allowed herself to fall into the abyss of complete misery. She had nothing left to live for...what the hell would it matter if the pain took her away? Her kids would learn to hate her eventually...Inez would make sure of it...She had already lost Bo's love...she couldn't stand to lose her children's...
"Why do you hate me so much? What the hell did I do to make me deserve this kind of pain...all I ever did was love him...love him too much maybe...This is some version of hell on earth...I don't want to live in this kind of nightmare...make it stop...please just make it stop...If you really love me...please...please just put me out of my misery..."
She was throwing rocks into the river as she raged against everything...including the higher power she once believed in so fiercely....she was alone and empty and wanting to die...and when she finally grew tired of fighting, she fell to the ground and sobbed...only seconds later her eyes would lock on the hidden weapon in the mud...Maybe she could just end it here...maybe she could stop the pain...
Staring at the knife in her hand, she began to think of death...and hoped it would come quickly.

He was halfway to the car when he was stopped by Inez. He knew it was her by the sound of her footsteps...and he wanted to just forget that she even existed...he needed to find his wife....If only he had been this focused on her before...if only he had put his marriage first...things in hindsight made a whole lot more sense...
"Go...go away," he said. "I don't need you breathing down my neck...coming to me with another problem...trying to matter more then you do...I told you that whatever happened between us was a mistake...I need to find my wife and make things right..."
"And how do you plan on doing that when she's running away?"
"I don't really care what I have to do...at this point, I would sacrifice anything...give anything...the only thing I know for certain is that I love her...She can run but she's not going to hide...If I have to park myself in front of her door every night until she lets me in then so be it...I lost my wife once...I won't do it again..."
"You may not have a choice..."
"You better rethink those words...they sound an awful lot like a threat...and trust me Inez, if you threaten my family, you won't like the results...keep your lies away from my wife and my children..."
"Whose to say they're lies...you just don't want to accept that I made you happier then she did..."
"Are you delusional...we had nothing Inez...Hell, I don't even remember our encounter...what does that tell you...I remember everything about every time with my wife...her smell, her touch, the way she looks...everything...if you were so memorable then I would have remembered...I love my wife Inez...and nothing you could ever say is going to change that..."
"Not even the fact that I'm pregnant with your child..."
He looked at her with all the disdain he could muster...and then the color drained from his face...this did not bode well for his marriage...or what was left of it.
"Happy father's day Bo," Inez gloated, as she stared at him satisfactorily. "I guess there is still one thing I can give you that Nora can't...I can give you a daughter."
"I think I'm going to be sick," he stated, as he shut the door of his car. Inez was pounding on it when suddenly it opened and he leaned over the seat and threw up...all over her.
"What the hell is wrong with you," she screamed?
"You...you're what's wrong with me...I want no part of you or your bastard child..."
"But...but it's yours..."
"No Inez...it's your meal ticket...If you expect me to believe you are carrying my child then you d@mn well better have proof...until then...stay away from me...Nora was right about you...I should have listened...as usual, she was the only one who saw you for who and what you were...and I lost her...I lost her because I refused to see it...Trust me, I won't make that mistake again...I will never again trust you at your word...I will trust my wife... first, last and everything in between...the way it should have been before I screwed everything up. She deserved much better from me...and you know what...I'm going to give it to her...to hell with everyone who thinks they can stand in my way...Nora's what matters...Nora."
And with that he shut the door and started the car up. Inez watched in horror as he drove away without another word. Their plan had hit a major snag.

"What do you mean he wants proof," Clint complained as he and Inez conferred?
"Just what I said...he doesn't believe I'm pregnant...and especially not that it's his..."
"He wants proof...fine...we'll give it to him...but first we need to get you pregnant for real..."
"And how do we do that when I have no real prospects lining up to help with that?"
"Simple...You have me..."
She was about to protest when he pulled her into a dirty kiss...It was obvious what he expected...she gave in. After the sex, Clint told her to leave. She would wait it out alone in the hotel as far away from him as she could get...except the next phone call wasn't from him...it was from the person who could rip her world to shreds...the person who had seen it all...The question was...could she stop them from telling all her secrets and lies...or was their carefully planned out strategy now null and void?
She was scared...everything depended on her power of persuasion...She had never been good at that....If she failed then she would end up at the bottom of a river just like her ex husband...nobody, after all, crossed Clint Buchanan and lived to tell the story...She had to think of something...and fast...
She heard the clock go tick tock as the witness walked in and laid everything out in plain English for her...she was utterly screwed.
