The back chapters are up on the old board, but here is the latest chapter 13 for all to enjoy
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
“Brandon, what the hell do you think you’re doing,” Sami questioned again unable to believe what was happening right before her very eyes.
“I told you once that I wasn’t about to lose what we have with one another and this is no exception Samantha. We belong together and deep down you know it as much as I do,” Brandon continued tossing the torn paper fragments onto the ground before taking a bold step towards her, “You still love me as much as I love you.”
“Now wait just one d**n minute,” Lucas stepped in between them unable to believe what he was hearing. Glaring up at Brandon, Lucas pushed his hand out into the center of Brandon’s chest to stop him, “I don’t know what has gotten into you, but this is my wedding day and I’m not about to let you ruin it with this little fit of yours. You have no business being at our wedding and…”
“Back off Lucas,” Brandon shoved him aside, his eyes never straying from Sami as she was unusually silent.
“The hell I will,” Lucas rushed over towards Brandon knocking into his side in a fury. The two men began to wrestle on the ground as Sami watched in horror realizing what a mess she’d made of things. Flailing limbs and punches continued to roar through the small chapel while Sami stood frozen at the sight of the two men she loved tearing one another apart. Finally she cried out in horror.
“Stop it! Both of you please…” she begged of them taking a step forward, “Lucas don’t. Brandon please…”
“We can’t just let them tear each other apart,” Belle added from her place beside Phillip. He nodded in response.
“You’re right on that,” Phillip marched forward pulling his brother off of Brandon while the two men were in the midst of an all out war. “Lucas let go!”
“I’m not going to let him ruin my wedding day!” Lucas shouted with a rage.
“She loves me Lucas,” Brandon threw back at him, “I’m sorry that it had to come to this, but Samantha is my wife and she can’t marry you.”
“Oh she’ll marry me and then oh am I going to love putting you in your place,” Lucas seethed in response while Phillip did his best to restrain him.
“The hell she will,” Brandon stepped towards Lucas again only to have Sami reach out to stop him.
“Brandon don’t do this. Please, don’t hurt him,” she begged of him with tears in her eyes.
“Then tell him the truth Samantha. Tell him that you can’t marry him,” Brandon pleaded with her desperately, “You know how I feel about you and I know that you still love me. You and I were meant to be together and after everything that’s happened, how can you stand here and even think about marrying him?”
“Because I’m the only man she’s been able to count on. I’ve never left her behind because it was convenient. She loves me and we belong together Brandon. She belongs with me, not you Brand-O and the sooner you get that through your head, the better off you’ll be,” Lucas shouted in response trying to wiggle his way out of Phillip’s hold on him, “She’s going to be my wife.”
“No, she’s not. Samantha and I are still married and that isn’t going to be changing anytime soon,” Brandon tossed out sharply unable to contain the anger that mounted inside of him at having walked in on the ceremony. Turning his attention to Sami, his dark eyes pleaded with her, “Samantha tell him. Tell him about us…tell him that you love me…”
“I…I…” she stammered looking between the two men while guilt ate away at her. She opened her mouth to speak before she found herself at a loss. Feeling all eyes upon her, she knew that this was that pivotal moment that would forever change her life. Suddenly nothing felt right and she had become a stranger in her own life. She had two amazing men both ready to love her and be with her and all she could think about was how she’d betrayed them both.
“Samantha,” Brandon reached out for her arm only to watch her pull away from him.
“I’m sorry Brandon, but I can’t do this right now,” she offered up choking on her tears before she turned her attention to Lucas. She bit down on her lower lip before she finally faced him. She could see the confusion and pain behind his eyes when she remained frozen in her spot, refusing to take a step towards him, “Lucas…I…I…I just have to get out of here,” was all she could get out as she bunched up her wedding gown and ran out of the chapel unable to free herself fast enough from the disaster that she’d created in her life.
“Sami wait,” Lucas called out after her running in the direction she’d taken off in. Brandon followed closely behind him, hoping to reach out to her as well, but as both men stood outside the small chapel she was nowhere to be found.
“Look what you’ve done,” Lucas glared at Brandon ready to unleash the full extent of his rage, but before he let his emotions get the best of him, he turned in the direction he’d hoped Sami had taken off in and prayed that he’d find her.
“Brandon,” Belle spoke out to the man she’d called after Sami’s earlier confession. While she hadn’t wanted to ruin her sister’s life, there was something about the talk that she and Sami had with one another that lead her to believe that things were far from over with Brandon and Sami. Now as she thought of how things fell apart there back in the chapel, guilt ate away at her and she tried to find some way to make things better.
“I have to find her,” was all that Brandon answered her with before he too chased off after her elusive sister.
“This wasn’t what I was expecting,” Phillip added taking in the situation as Belle couldn’t help but feel a panic coming on.
“Oh Phil, this is all my fault. I never should’ve called him,” Belle confessed realizing that she may have been the key to ruining her sister’s life forever.
