Hey I wanna thank you guys so much for keeping up with this story! I would've been posted this chapter, but with crazy school stuff, my sister's wedding and my friend's wedding its been ca-ca-ca-ca-crazy! But it'll die down soon so thanks again! The follow up story will be titled Eternal Flame.
“I’ll just be gone for an hour, I just want to see what this girl has up her sleeve” Fallon spoke looking at her reflection in the mirror. There was just something fishy about Courtney’s abrupt invitation for dinner. Surely by now Sonny had to have told her that whatever was going between them was now over. Still she invited them both of for dinner.
“Are you sure about this?” Daniella asked while Fallon slid on her coat.
“d**n sure.” Fallon and Daniella’s conversation was cut short by the ringing of her doorbell. Daniella, still in the mindset of a maid ran to retrieve the door for her. On the other side stood Sonny dressed in his best as always. Sonny acknowledged Daniella with a slight nod as he stepped into the ancient mansion.
“Ready to go?”
“Yup.”
“How ya doing Daniella?” he turned to say with a smile.
“Good Mr. Corinthos” she snipped not returning the very same smile thrown her way.
“Sonny….”
“Yes, Sonny.” Daniella cut her eyes at the man standing at the door. She felt that Sonny had somewhat used Fallon for her weakness with the ordeal with her and the prince. She hadn‘t really taken in account that Fallon too involved herself with Sonny. Instead she only looked his way with a bit of disgust for playing on her loneliness. “I am going to join the children, have a nice night Fallon.”
“Thank you, you do the same.” Daniella went upstairs leaving the two alone. Sonny waited until she was completely out of vision before speaking.
“I have a feeling that she doesn’t like me.”
“Yeah, I’d keep that embedded if I were you. Let’s go.” Soon the two arrived at Courtney and Jason’s for dinner. No one, really said anything during dinner, everything was so awkward. Jason was sitting next to the woman who was his undying love, then next to the other woman he pledged his love to, then next to her brother who was dating his undying love. Fallon sitting next to the man who had her heart, next to the woman who hated her next to the man she tried to move on with who actually was the man who had her hearts best friend. There he sat next to his best friend, who’s ex-wife he tried to move on with, next to his sister, who hated her. She sat next to her husband, who’s so called soul mate sat across from him, that sat next to the man that she managed to manipulate into loving But once this was over there would be one out of the equation.
“How about we gather in the den for a moment?” Sonny and Fallon looked at one another. “Come.” Courtney got up from the kitchen and the others joined her.
“What is going on Courtney?” Sonny asked.
“Well I needed to talk to you all.”
“Well I hope this doesn’t last long, I promised my children that I would return soon after supper.”
“Good then I’ll just get right to the point. You are nothing but trash.” Everyone stopped in their tracks in shock. No one knew exactly where that came from.
“Pardon me?”
“You heard my right Fallon. You are nothing but a grade A very *friendly* person.”
“Courtney” Sonny interjected, but she continued to talk as if she hadn’t heard a word he said.
“I find it completely interesting that you have been with almost every man in the whole town. First Jax, then Stavros, you sunk your hooks into Jason, out of the blue, Lucky, back to Jason, then you claim to love your precious husband Stavros, but you marry his brother Stefan! Then back to Jason, then his brother, my ex-husband A.J., can’t get enough of those brothers huh? Making your way back to Jason, then fooling around with Brad Carlton, then there was David, can’t forget that one. Then once more back to Stavros. Wow that’s a mouthful oh but I’m not done. Then you come back home, weasel your way back here and into my brothers life, all the while you are pining for my husband, MY HUSBAND!”
“You are way out of line here Courtney” Fallon said through her clenched teeth. She sat there and took her verbal assualt as best as she could. Fallon was getting real fed up with her and if pushed, she’d push back hard. Real hard. Had the blond twit forget the little tidbit of once being a trained killer?
“Oh no, I am right on target. Sonny, did you know that Jason and Fallon were still in love with one another?”
“Yeah, yeah I know.” Courtney was shocked, how’d he know? She knew that was the driving stake to get Sonny to look at his precious Fallon in a new light. Apparently it was none to new to him.
“So how does it make you feel knowing that you’re best friend and your girlfriend are fooling around behind your back?”
“No one is fooling around” Jason grumbled.
“They were together long before Fallon and I ever were.”
“Oh and that makes it so much better.” Courtney turned around and faced Fallon. “You are nothing, I will not allow you to hurt my brother or steal my husband. See this ring, he is mine now, so why don’t you go back just go back to Evergreen and stare up at the ugly picture of you and Stavros and leave me and my husband alone.”
“Stop it Courtney, stop this right now!” Jason screamed.
“Why? Why stop?”
“BECAUSE I’M STILL IN LOVE WITH HER!” Everyone stopped. With all her anger she possessed in her body, Courtney slammed Jason across his face. Slapped would’ve been an understatement. Then she turned and faced Fallon who was still in shock from Jason’s revelation. Then like Jason, Courtney slammed Fallon as well, almost knocking her down. Fallon grabbed her face and kept it down. Tears began to form in her eyes. Not from the slap but from the words that spewed from Courtney’s mouth and from the surprise that Jason was still in love with her. It was really all too much that her body refused to bare. Sonny walked over to Fallon and slowly lifted her up.
“Are you ok?” he whispered. Fallon nodded her head and pulled herself up. The tears now dampened her face and looked at each person in the room but focusing her eyes more so on Jason. Suddenly Fallon rushed out of the room and ran straight out of the mansion.
“I should go after her” Sonny said.
“No, she needs to be alone.” Everyone was completely silent. Sonny was shocked, Jason was stunned, Courtney was fuming.
“I need to go get some water.” Courtney left out of the room and walked to the kitchen. About a good ten minutes settled in the air before either Jason or Sonny could think of anything to say.
“I can’t believe what just happened here” Sonny whispered.
“Yeah I know.”
“What are you going to do now?” Jason put his head down and faced the ground. Now that was really question at the moment he couldn’t answer. There was no denying that he loved Courtney. She was there for him all those years to lift his spirits on the darkest days. But Fallon…Fallon’s love was something no one could duplicate ever. He would love her till there were no more oxygen in his lungs to breath. Jason felt so conflicted with his thoughts that he was starting to develop a heavy duty migrane.
“I don’t know….I just don’t.” The two remained silent in the den without saying a word just thinking. As they stood something just didn’t feel right.
“Courtney has been gone in the kitchen for a while.”
“Yeah.”
“I’m gonna go check on her.” Sonny left out the den and walked to the kitchen but quickly returned.
“She’s gone.”
*********************************************
Fallon made it all the way to the docks in record time. She ran completely there without stopping. The cold air almost froze the tears that continuously spilled out of her eyes. Unexpectedly an electrified shock went through her body sending her into complete darkness.
“Wow you’re a fast runner, but maybe not fast enough. I told you you’re not going to get my husband and I’m very well going to see to it.”
