Bashing

I just wanted to remind everyone that bashing of real people on Fallin is not allowed. As it states in the rules: No bashing “real people.” By “real people,” we mean fellow posters, posters on other boards, actors, writers, and any other person who exists in real life (as opposed to fictional characters). Therefore, any bashing as described above is unacceptable. The notes (or, in some cases, threads) will be deleted; and repeat offenders will be banned from the board. Thus, if you find yourself getting into an argument that might involve the bashing of people, actors, or fan bases, please take it elsewhere. It is not allowed on Fallin. If you happen to notice bashing of real people, we ask that you please send a PM to one of the mods. For a quicker response, your best bet is to send the same PM to all three mods (Josette, CAnSavyfanLiz, and myself). After that, we ask that you please ignore it until the post/thread has been deleted. Thanks to all of the posters who do follow these rules. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to send me a PM. Happy posting!

I was wondering if any of the MOD's on this board know that James Scott has a medical condition for the constant blinking he does. I think that falls under actor bashing. Its a little offensive of people to make fun of an actors medical condition because they don't like the character. Any other site the post gets deleted for actor bashing. Why do members get away with it here?

James Scott has a medical condition that causes him to blink constantly? This is news to me.
Source? I'm very curious, but can't seem to find this information.

I'll let you find it on your own. But its sad when you resort to making fun of the actor because you don't like his character.

Although I've never said anything about the blinking, I too would like to know where the information comes from. I would like to know too though out of curiosity.

I'll let you find it on your own. But its sad when you resort to making fun of the actor because you don't like his character. I hope that is a very general "you," because I personally have never made any sort of indication that I make fun of actors because I dislike the characters they play. To the contrary. If I'm affected by the character that much, it only means more respect for the actor and his or her talent. I can't speak for others, but I haven't seen anyone deliberately slam the actor for that reason. As for finding the information about Mr. Scott's condition, I tried. I ran google searches for "constant blinking" with "medical condition" and found something called Blepharospasm, which is a fascinating subject. Then I put in "James Scott" with "Blepharospasm" and didn't have much luck. Then I tried "James Scott" with both "constant blinking" and "medical condition" with the same result. Then I tried going to his official website...which was a literal dead end. So I tried IMDB, Wikipedia, and James Scott actor biographies on several Days-related website, and there was still no mention of this alleged medical condition. I did, however, see a thread at the Sony Pictures soaps community message board where someone joked about "EJ's rapid blinking syndrome," but that's it. EJ's. Not James Scott's. It's possible you mixed the two up along the way.
