I came across some of my Lusty One-shots and I thought it would be only fair to post them.
The first one is a song fic called Everytime- The song is Everytime Britney Spears.
A song fic, Oneshot….written in prose.
Come notice me and take my hand so why are we Strangers when Our love is strong Why carry on without me?
She looked at him. Almost pleading for him to look back at her. Pleading for him to notice her, to take her hand. To just admit that their love was strong.
She wanted to know how he could carry on without her. How he could live life everyday knowing that she was not his anymore. She wanted nothing more then to be his. For him to take her hand and to love her.
However, he just ignored her. Thinking it was for the best. He thought ignoring her would make her realize he was not the type of man she should love. However the more he tried to push her away the more she tried harder to get him to notice her.
He did love her, he did. However, he knew loving her was wrong. Nothing good would come out of a thirty-four year loving an eighteen year old. Nothing. He knew it. She knew it. Hell the whole world knew it.
However, he could not help but love her. He loved everything about her.
He loved the way her eyes lit up when she smiled, and oh, how he loved to see her smile. He loved the way her hair laid. He loved the way she held herself up.
He knew he should not love her. He knew loving someone as young as her would be wrong.
She continued to look over at him, hoping for just one look. Hoping to be noticed by the man who stole her heart. “Look at me. Notice me.” She would plainly whisper.
And every time I try to fly I fall without my wings I feel so small I guess I need you baby And every time I see you in my dreams I see your face, it's haunting me I guess I need you baby
He wanted nothing more then to look over at her. To rush to her. To tell her he loved her. However, he knew he should not. She had her whole life ahead of her. He was not going to ruin that. He was not going to take that away from her.
He told her to go to school, to get the best education. She did. She went to school. Everyday that she was not in his life. He would dream of her. He breathed her. Her very soul plagued his every dream. He fell hard for her. He hated to admit. He needed her. He needed her more then he needed himself.
His whole world shattered when had gotten word of her marriage to a coed student. A boy her age, He let her go. He let her go and now he lost her. She was a married woman.
I make believe that you are here It's the only way I see clear what have I done you seem to move on easy
He began drinking heavily and ended up so drunk at times he would pretend she was still in his life. He would ask her why she left. During those times, he saw everything clearly, he saw for the first time how much he did love her. He wondered if she ever loved him.
Maybe she thought the same of him, maybe that is why she married someone new. He knew he loved her. He knew she loved him also. He just did not know the extent of those feelings were anymore.
Something made her move on. Something made her throw the love she had for him away. He should have told her. He should have told her the truth about everything that was in his heart.
And every time I try to fly I fall without my wings I feel so small I guess I need you baby And every time I see you in my dreams I see your face, it's haunting me I guess I need you baby
When she returned home after four years of college, she was not married anymore. She never loved her husband. The person had been there to help her forget about the man she had left behind. The man she gave her heart to. She tried to overcome him. She tried to get over him, however each time she did she felt so small.
She realized he was her salvation, her shelter from the storm. She still loved him. She still cared for him. She dreamt of him, she realized she needed him more now then; she needed anything or anybody in her life.
She just needed him.
I may have made it rain Please forgive me my weakness caused you pain and this song is my sorry
She had gone to his work. She went there to apologize, however before he could he did. He told her he was sorry he made her feel the way she did. He told her that he was sorry to have caused her so much pain. His weakness had caused her pain. His weakness to tell her loved her caused her pain.
Ohhhh
At night I pray that soon your face will fade away
The talked for hours. They told each other they prayed every night for their faces to fade from memory. He wanted nothing more then to forget her as she did him, however the harder they tried to forget each other, the more in love they were. The more they wanted each other. The more they realized how much they meant to one another.
“I love you.” He told her finally after years of holding it in. “I love you.”
She put a hand up to his cheek and smiled. “I love you.” She replied as she went in for a kiss.
He pulled away and smiled. “I’ll be your wings; I’ll be your everything. I will be there to catch you when you fall, baby. Every time.” He made it a promise. He would always be there for her.
And every time I try to fly I fall without my wings I feel so small I guess I need you baby and every time I see you in my dreams I see your face, it's haunting me
I guess I need you baby.
She made the same promise. She realized that no man had made her as happy as he did.
She walked up to the love of her life, and simply said. “I love you Dusty Donovan.”
He turned around. He wrapped her up in his arms and whispered. “Lucy Montgomery will you be my wife?”
After all... After all...
The End
--------------
You Deserve My Love.
there's a bit of a love scene in it. So I rate it a low R.
“Are you sure you’re alright about Will being released so soon?” Lucy asked Dusty. “I mean I know you loved Rose it must be hard for you to see Will out of the institution.”
Dusty put his palm up and stroked Lucy’s cheek. “I’m not alright, however I don’t think holding a grudge is going to help anyone, it’s certainly isn’t gonna bring back Rose.” Lucy closed her eyes at the touch of Dust’s hand then opened them again.
She replied. “But you loved her, she was the love of your life.” Dusty leaned in as their foreheads touched. He quickly kissed her.
“No.” Dusty told her.
“No? What does that suppose to mean?” Lucy asked confused at Dusty’s answer.
“I never loved her. I never loved anyone until you. Rose was an infatuation, a challenge, I just wanted to steal her from Paul, and I never was in love with her. I just wanted Paul to be miserable. I don’t know.”
Lucy smiled and looked at Dusty with such adoration. “You were gonna up and leave town.”
“That’s because you weren’t in my life baby.” Dusty explained to her. “I wouldn’t have thought twice about not leaving if you hadn’t entered my life like you did.” He leaned in and kissed her again. “And besides. Where would I have gone huh?”
Lucy laughed. “You would have found away.”
“Yeah I suppose but I still would have been missing that piece of me.” Dusty smiled as he slowly moved in for another kiss.
Lucy smiled a bit. “What piece?”
“You. You are my missing piece.” He shifted a bit. “Lucy before you entered my life I felt incomplete, like something was missing from my life and I had tried many things to feel that void in my life, but then you came along and it was like she’s that missing piece I have been looking for my whole life. I finally felt complete.”
Lucy smiled. “I love you.” She said as she leaned in for what was a more passionate kiss. Dusty shifted so he lay on top of him as he laid her back onto the pillows. Their kissing got more urgent as both vied for control, their tongues fighting against each other. “Make love to me now Dusty.” Dusty smiled. He smiled down at the only woman he knew he ever loved. The one woman that made him wants to be a better man.
“I love you.” He said as he positioned himself inside of her and moved in harmony with her, this is what he had been waiting for his whole life someone to complete him.
After forty-five minutes of moving together, they both came with such passion in their voices. “Thank you.” Dusty said as he collapsed onto her.
“For what?”
“For completing me, for loving me, for believing in me when I know I don’t deserve it.” He explained as he rolled off her to the side of her. He pulled her close to him, never wanting to let her go.
“I said it before, I believe in you because you earned it, I love you because you are the only person to understand me. And I complete you because you complete me.”
“I don’t deserve you.” Dusty said. “I don’t deserve to be loved wholeheartedly by you.” He said turning away not being able to look her in the eyes when he said that.
Lucy noticed his insecurities and assured him that he did deserve more then she did. “If any one doesn’t deserve anything it’s me, I don’t deserve your love.”
Dusty leaned in and kissed her on her forehead. “You deserve it all, you deserve what ever good life throws at you. I however don’t, what have I done to deserve such a loving and good person as yourself, I mean look at me Luce, I’m a hustler. I don’t deserve to be loved.”
Lucy moved closer to him. “You need to stop putting yourself down, stop being so insecure about our relationship, you know I would have never plagued you for being so insecure.”
“I…it’s just I don’t deserve this kind of happiness.” Dusty said with such sadness in his eyes. “I never had someone love me and only me, and frankly that scares me.” Dusty explained.
“Scares you how?”
“I feel if I let myself love you anymore, you’re gonna leave me, and I’m not talking about some other man coming in and taking you away from me…I mean…” Dusty stopped himself. He couldn’t even say it. The thought of Lucy dying was the enough to make him want to hold on to her and never let her go, however he felt if he held on too tight she would leave him.
Lucy snuggled into the crevice of Dusty’s neck, she fit perfect against him. “Dusty can we stop talking about this, I’m not gonna leave you. No one is taking me away from you, and no one is taking you from me.” Lucy said as she succumbed to much needed sleep.
Dusty kissed her forehead. “I love you Princess.” He said as he too fell into much needed sleep.
The End.
Since we're only allowed 25, 600 words in one post, I'll post the other's later. I hope you enjoyed the stories.
Oh and Nicky if you want to post them on your site, you're more then welcomed too...I think it'd be best to make a board just for one-shots or something like that.

Hello Jose, I remember you from PGP...I believe you posted some beautiful Banners for us to use. I envy you guys that are from Holland/The Netherelands to get to relive all those great moments. *Sigh*
Now for the rest of my one-shots
My Reason For Living
This is a One Shot.
This is an AU- I always wondered if Lucy and Dusty would get together if she were still with Aaron.
My reason for Living.
Dusty’s POV
I am an idiot. I am a complete idiot. You know its funny how much you know about life and then life throws you a curveball and every thing you thought you ever knew is thrown into frenzy.
You think you knew everything about everything, you think that the life you had led was the one you would live for the rest of your life. However, you never figure in those bothersome little curveballs that come out of nowhere.
One in particular in my case, Love. Falling head over heals in love. Yeah you heard me, I am in love. Not only is the girl I am in love with the daughter of my business partner, the girlfriend of one of my employees. A girl who hasn't been legal for even a year, and one who just happens to be 16 years my junior.
I feel disgusted, I feel disappointed. I feel like a dirty old man who has decided he is head over heals in love with this girl.
I dream of her. I dream of her every night, I cannot help but hope she will be by my side when I wake up. I vision her being by my side when I wake up every morning.
What is it about her that has me so crazy for her? It isn't just her breathtaking beauty. Which she has. It isn’t even her vibrant personality, which she also has. It's the way she cares. It is the way she sees me. It is the way she understands me.
She the only one that sees and understands the real me. You are probably wondering what I mean. She and I were forced into each other’s life a few months back. She was kidnapped and I saved her.
She and I had formed a bond with each other or so I thought we did. However once we got back to Oakdale she returned to her ever-loving boyfriend and I well returned to my life. Whatever that was?
However, something happened while we were together for those four weeks. I realized she was not the spoiled rich girl I plagued her as. She was just normal. She was everything in a woman I ever wanted. Feisty, Stubborn, insanely beautiful and could keep up with me in tight situations.
However now I am a fool. A complete idiot who fell in love. Why am I a fool? She is getting married that is why? She is getting married to him. She is marrying him, because I am the idiot who was afraid to tell her how I felt. So now, here I am all dressed up for her wedding. Contemplating on whether I go or not. She wants me there. He wants me there. Her fiancé is one of my best friends even if he is quite a bit younger then me. I want to be there for both of them. I want to be there to help them celebrate their new life together, to wish them all the luck in the world.
However, I don’t want to subject myself to having to watch the woman I love commit herself to another man forever. I don’t think I could stand that. I shut my eyes and think. I tell myself if I want to see her happy, I will go and be happy just for her. I’ll do anything for her. Even watch her marry some other man.
Therefore, I take a deep breath and head to the church.
I head back to her dressing room, much to the discretion of her family, but I have to see her before she becomes “Mrs. Aaron Snyder.” I have to let her know that I’m happy for both of them.
I knock on her door and wait for her to let me enter. “Come in.”
“Lucy?” I say quietly. I am completely thrown she is gorgeous. She’s breathtakingly exquisite. She is perfect from head to toe. Can she get anymore beautiful? Could I love her anymore? I don’t know how I’m going to watch her marry another man.
She smiles at me. She’s so perfect. Her smile lights up the room, I love how her eyes dance every time she smiles. She is a goddess. “Dusty.” She says excitedly as she rushes out of her seat and throws her arms around me.
As if on cue, I wrap my arms around hers. I lift her up a bit and swing her around. I could hold on to her forever. I let her down and smiled. “I uh came to see how you were doing?”
She looks at me and tries to divert her gaze. “I’m fine. I uhm …” I then notice tears. I quickly grab a hold of her chin and force her to look at me. She was crying. These tears weren’t tears of happiness either. They weren’t the tears that brides are supposed to have.
They were tears of sadness. Tears of longing for something more. “Lucy, Princess why are you crying? There is no crying on your wedding day.”
She tries to sniffle a smile. However, it’s difficult. “I know. I just.” She didn’t finish.
I had to know what she meant by that. “You just what Lucy?”
She closed her eyes and sank to the floor. “I don’t want to marry Aaron.” She confessed. She looked at me as I was completely taken aback by her sudden realization of her fiancé. I kneel down in front of her and look in her eyes.
“Why?” I know I shouldn’t pry in her life. I was the fool who told her to get married in the first place. She was better off with Aaron the with me. She was better off living the life as a Snyder wife then the wife of Dusty Donovan.
“I want you. I want to be with you.” She declared. I continue to search her eyes looking for some sort of mistruth. However, I never find it. She looks to the ground afraid to see my gaze. “I love you.” She confesses.
I lift her head up so her gaze can meet mine. I smile as tears fall from my eyes into tiny puddles on the floor. “I love you too.” I say with everything I had. She smiles and I’m finally, where I belong. I lean into her.
I take ahold of her and hold on to her with every thing I had. "I loved you for a long time." I explain. I close my eyes and just take in the moment. She pulls back a bit and our foreheads touch.
As if, every bottle of emotion that we had deep with in ourselves had opened and we were pushed into the most amazing of kisses.
A kiss I had never experienced before. A kiss that made me realizes I was where I wanted to be. I found my meaning for living. I have found my purpose in life. In addition, I have found what I have been looking for.
I’m Dusty Donovan and that is the story on how I fell in love with Lucy Montgomery. Maybe one day I’ll have enough courage to ask her to marry me, but until then I will just enjoy life being with her and knowing that she is mine.
The End.
----------------
I do not own Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley; featuring Alison Krause the song can be heard on his album Mudd on Tires. . --------------------
Whiskey Lullaby
’She put him out like the burnin' end of a midnight cigarette She broke his heart he spent his whole life tryin' to forget’
“It’s over Dusty, I can’t do this anymore. I can’t be with you.” Lucy Montgomery had just broken things off with her boyfriend Dusty Donovan. She spoke the words but it didn’t sound like her voice, the words sounded foreign on her tongue.
Dusty stood frozen he couldn’t move. His whole life he searched for the type of love that he had with Lucy and now it was gone. He felt alone, he felt hopeless. He felt
Broken and shattered.
“You don’t mean that.” He said as mustered up his strength to walk towards her. “Lucy.” He cupped her chin and looked in her eyes.
“You can’t.” His eyes tearing up as he said it, he didn’t want any of it to be true. Lucy closed her eyes a bit and leaned into his touch. She didn’t want to do it, she however knew that at life with each other would only cause heartache and pain.
“I’m sorry Dusty, but I can’t be with someone who makes it habit of lying to me all the time.” Lucy stood firm in her decision. She put a palm on Dusty’s face and rubbed his cheek. “Please understand that this is hard for me to do, but I just can’t be in a relationship with you, I’m sorry.”
Lucy picked up the suitcases she had packed and walked to the door. “Good bye Dusty.” She said. That was the last goodbye and the last words that Lucy would ever say to Dusty.
Dusty turned around he couldn’t watch her leave. He couldn’t watch her walk out on the life they had made together. He couldn’t watch her walk out on-
Him
He heard the clicking of the door shutting. However he didn’t move, he didn’t flinch. He just stood there. He felt Hopeless. He felt alone. He felt
Lost
He felt as if his whole life had come to and end as she just stood in his position not daring to turn around. Not daring to move, all he wanted was to love her. All he knew in life was how to Love her. She was gone though. He felt as if his purpose was diminished if Lucy was no longer in his life what reason did he have to live for now. Lucy was gone
His life was gone
We watched him drink his pain away a little at a time But he never could get drunk enough to get her off his mind
He slowly moved over to the table that held his alcohol. He poured himself a drink of scotch. He drank until he couldn’t remember what happened. He drank until he had passed out on the floor. He drank to erase her.
Months went by. He continued to drink. He drank to forget. He drank to forget her. To forget..
Their love, his love.
However, no matter how much he drank, the memory of Lucy never went away. She haunted him. He drank, but the pain was still there. He just couldn’t get drunk enough to forget her. He could never get her out of his mind. No amount of alcohol could erase the memory of Lucy Montgomery the love of Dusty Donovan’s life.
Everyone had tried to help and reach out to him, but he refused any contact with anyone. People watched him throw his life away. They watched him become a hopeless Drunk as he continued to drown out the memory of Lucy.
He had many loves. He had many woman, however none of them had ever compared to Lucy.
His Lucy, his love, his life.
He finally hit the end of his rope and wanted it to end.
Until the night
He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger And finally drank away her memory
One night he sat and he drank, he drank until she was gone. He drank until he had passed out. He would drink until it killed him. He never left his room. He never left his bed. The bottle of scotch was like a gun. He used it to make himself forget forever.
He drank away his pain. He drank away his heartache. He drank away his love
He drank away her memory
He drank until he couldn't hold himself up anymore.
Life is short but this time it was bigger than the strength he had to get up off his knees We found him with his face down in the pillow with a note that said I'll love her till I die
He could not handle it anymore; the pain had just become unbearable he had finally drank enough to finally expunge her. He had finally forgotten all about Lucy Montgomery.
Dusty had fallen asleep one night, and never woke up. Dusty had drunk himself to death.
John Dixon who had raised Dusty was visiting him when he found Dusty with his face down in his pillows, holding a note that read. “I love Lucy, I’ll love her till I die, I’ll love her forever.”
John felt sick to his stomach as he discovered the man he had raised dead in his hotel room, all because of a break up.
“Why did you do this Dusty, why couldn’t you just forget and forgive. She has a good life now, you should have been happy for her, you bastard. Instead….Instead. “ John felt choked up. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t breathe. Dusty was gone.
And when we buried him beneath the willow The angels sang a whiskey lullab
Lucy stood by his grave, her tears fell freely as she listened to the minister read off his eulogy, she listened as people spoke, even people who despised him had said great things about him, Lucy had felt sick. It took his death to get people to respect the type of man he was.
Lucy felt angry eyes on her. At least she felt angry eyes on her, she knew they were blaming her. She knew it was her fault. She had lost everything that night as well, but now.
She had lost it all.
The pallbearers lowered his coffin into the ground, Lucy who was clad in all black threw down one lavender rose to remember her by. “I do love you Dusty, I will never stop loving you.”
(Sing lullaby)
The rumors flew but nobody knew how much she blamed herself For years and years she tried to hide the whiskey on her breath She finally drank her pain away a little at a time But she never could get drunk enough to get him off her mind
Shortly after his death, people began talking. Strangers mostly, they blamed her for not caring. They started spreading lies about her. They said she never loved him, they said she never Cared
She did however, she cared more then anyone could imagine. She loved him more then life itself. She blamed herself. She blamed herself for having been a fool. She just blamed herself. Years had gone by, Lucy had left Oakdale she couldn’t find the strength to live in a town that reminded her so much of Dusty.
She left to forget him, however she couldn’t. She couldn’t erase the memory of him, of them, of what…
She had done.
She began drinking, she drank to forget. She drank to drown herself. However no matter how much she drank, he still wasn’t gone. His memory was there. She could always see him. His love, her love
Their love
Years later she had returned home much to the joy of her family. “Lucy Darling we had missed you tremendously. “ Lucinda had said as she hugged her granddaughter. Lucinda quickly noticed the alcohol hidden on Lucy’s breath by cinnamon breath mints, however she didn’t say a word.
She was just glad that Lucy had returned to them.
“It’s good to see you as well Grandmother.” Lucy smiled. She stayed and answered a few questions before telling them she was tired.
She went upstairs to her room, she unpacked her suitcases. She unpacked the six bottles of Jack Daniels she had smuggled onto the plane.
Until the night
She put that bottle to her head and pulled the trigger And finally drank away his memory Life is short but this time it was bigger Than the strength she had to get up off her knees
She locked herself in her room, and began drinking straight out of the bottle. She drank bottle after bottle until she was completely fallen over to the point where she couldn’t lift her self up again, she crawled to her suitcase and noticed that she only had one bottle left.
She crawled to her bed and lifted herself up onto her bed. She found his picture and held onto it tight. She drank until she passed out, she drank until she forgot about all of her pain.
About him
We found her with her face down in the pillow Clinging to his picture for dear life We laid her next to him beneath the willow While the angels sang a whiskey lullaby
Craig who had just found out his daughter was back in town was knocking on her door. “Lullaby it’s daddy, open it.” However he wasn’t getting any answer.
“Lullaby, please open the door.” Lucy still didn’t answer, Craig started to panic. He broke the door down. What he saw broke him, he saw his daughter, his little girl lying lifeless on her bed. Clinging to a picture of Dusty.
“Oh god, no.” He shouted as tears soaked his face, he brought her to his face and began sobbing uncontrollably. “This all my fault. If I just let you and Dusty be together this would have never happened." He buried his face into he hair. His lullaby was gone.
He felt hopeless, he felt helpless, for the first time in Craig Montgomery’s life he had finally lost everything in his life and it was all because of his selfish reasons.
“Lucy.” He said as she continued to hold her. His sobs echoing through the walls of the mansion.
A week later everyone agreed to bury Lucy next to Dusty, it was the only thing Craig could do to make up for what he had done.
Everyone had fond memories of the disastrous pairing as so they thought but in reality, Dusty and Lucy were the only true couple they had come to know.
(Sing lullaby)
Lucy had finally made her way back to Dusty. He had waited for her even in heaven. However it never felt like heaven until his angel was standing next to him.
He wrapped her up in his arms. "I knew you'd come, I have waited for you baby, only you." He said as he gave her the first of what would be many kisses.
"I love you." They both said, they were finally together for eternity.
The end.
---------
His Princess, His soulmate
The Wagon Wheel: Dusty’s Room. (He had gotten a room to hide out in.)
“You know you really shouldn’t be here.” Dusty told the young woman who had captured his heart. He however would never admit but he liked her next to him. He felt better knowing she was near him so he could watch her and protect her better.
“I’m not going to let you tell me what to do, and besides I’m a big girl now I can do anything I want. If that means being here with you so be it.” Lucy folded her arms over her chest and smirked the way Dusty would. She had gotten the smirk down pat. Dusty looked back at her as he lifted his eyebrow.
“You mock me?” He smiled as he grabbed her and turned her upside down.
This caused Lucy to scream. “Stop, no I’m not mocking you.” She screamed playfully. Dusty through her down on the bed. He had her under. He looked into her eyes, her eyes that were the window to her soul. As he searched her eyes, she searched his wondering how deep they went.
“Princess.” Dusty murmured as he leaned down. His lips brushed her softly. Lucy eyes shut as Dusty deepened the kiss. He had been waiting his entire life for this one kiss. That one kiss that you always dream of but could never fulfill. The kiss lasted a good thirty seconds before he let up on it. He just stared into her eyes.
Lucy became scared; she had felt the same feeling he did. She never felt this way before not even with Aaron. “Dusty?”
Dusty did not answer all he did was smile and kissed her again. Lucy had found her place. Aaron may have been her first boyfriend, but she had found her first love, her soul mate, and the one she is destined for in Dusty Donovan.
He had found the same thing. If anyone told him three months ago that he would find his soul mate in Lucy Montgomery, he would have laughed in his or her face. However now he could not picture life without his ‘Spoiled Princess.’
The End.
Her Everything
This is a poem on how Lucy now sees Dusty. She realizes he is more then just a passing acquaintance.
Dusty is…
Someone you can depend on. Someone who will always be there. Someone who will always lift you up, When you are down. To me Dusty is... My guardian angel my guiding light my world, and my life. He is the one I dream of the one I love the one reason I wake up in the morning. The one reason I am alive. He is my world He is my life. He is my shelter from the storm. He is my rock. He is my strength He is my everything.
